1. "Lakeside at Lake Chapala the Way It Is 2007"

Told with vivid pictures from Lake Chapala's many small villages and the major communities of Chapala, Ajijic and Jocotepec. Walk through the tiangas and along the village streets, enjoy the family fun on the Chapala Pier and watch the many tour boats come and go. Travel the carretera from east of Chapala, through Ajijic and all the way to Jocotepec. Take a look at the famous Lake Chapala Society and the beauty of the village plazas.       2.  "Manzanillo Mexico" Pictures in Motion"

This is a major Beach Resort destination for Lake Chapala and Ajijic retirees. It's a scenic 31/2 hour drive from Lake Chapala. Pictures of Manzanillo show images of the central city and deep water seaport with cruise and container cargo ships. The other side of Manzanillo is the beach resort area. In this show you will view 2 resort properties. One modest that could be considered a bed and breakfast, the other a midrange all inclusive 52 acre beach resort. This show will also take you to the quaint beach town of Barra de Navidad 30 minutes north of Manzanillo. Retire in Mexico and make this a regular beach getaway.  

The scenic 180 mile drive from Lake Chapala to Manzanillo passes through lush farmlands, dry lakebeds, deep canyons, the beuatiful thriving city of Colima and then past miles of Coconut and Bananna groves. Manzanillo is one of Mexico's leading deep sea fishing areas, is home to a major international commercial deepwater seaport and of course, is a very nice beach reasort. Lake Chapala residents find this a great getaway for weekends and holidays.

3. "Mazamitla, Mexico"  "Pictures in Motion"

A mountain resort village at about 7000 feet in elevation. It's a beautiful summer drive from Ajijic, Chapala or Jocotepec or any of  the villages along Lake Chapala . You'll find this an interesting day trip or if you prefer, a short holiday getaway with many mountain cabins or in town hotels with excellent restaurants to accommodate you. Biking, hiking, horseback riding, ATV play, rock climbing and many other adventure activities are available. Lake Chapala Retirees can enjoy a 2 hour mountain tour available in town as well as spending some enjoyable time at one of the most beautiful plazas you'll ever see. Mazamitla is just 45 miles around Lake Chapala and up the mountain from Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Destinations like this make Mexico Retirement at Lake Chapala even more attractive

Mazamitla is a mountain village with a very interesting historic background. You'll find many mountain resorts available for overnight or a week or two. Rustic cabins to plush expensive resort properties are available. A favorite restaurant of Ajijic and Lake Chapala residents is La Troje, located just 1/2 block left from the main stop light in the center of town. Don't short change yourself by failing to allow enough time to explore this interesting village.

4. "Guadalajara, Mexico" "Pictures in Motion"

A World Class City

These 3 cities, will seem connected as one. Guadalajara is about an hours drive from Chapala, Ajijic or any other Lake Chapala village. Guadalajara is a city of almost 2 million people with a metropolitan population of almost 5 million, it does have an equal amount traffic to make you a believer. This however is a real, world class city. Considered the Simi Valley of Mexico, it offers beautiful malls, all major international retail and restaurant outlets, performing arts theaters, presenting ballet, symphonies, and international performing groups and artists.  It also has a great university, beautiful parks and access into mountain recreation areas. The Guadalajara International Airport is just 45 minutes from Lake Chapala. Tonala and Tlaquepaque are two major manufacturing, exporting and retailing cities for Mexico's artisans. If you choose to Retire in Mexico at Lake Chapala you'll find you'll visiting these two cities for shopping, household furnishings, pottery, art and more. Pictures of these cities are presented to allow you a glimpse of what you may expect to see.

Guadalajara Tonala and Tlaquepaque provide Lake Chapala residents with all the shopping and cultural opporturnities they might ever want. They all provide excellant hositals and medical care. 5. Patzcauro, Mexico "Pictures in Motion"

Patzcauro is nestled near the shore of Lake Patzcauro which is a beautiful large mountain lake. Other towns on or near Lake Patzcauro are day trips that will reward you with scenic vistas, major shopping opportunities and a look at life in central Mexico. Just  a 4 hour drive from Lake Chapala you'll find this a great destination for a 3 or more day holiday. Excellent restaurants, moderate to eloquent bed and breakfasts and a wonderful daily street side market will make your stay very enjoyable Pictures and images of the people, plazas, markets, restaurants, and scenery are presented in this show. Many who have Retired in Mexico travel here for the November 1st and 2nd Day of the Dead Celebrations. All agree this is an amazing couple of days.

Patzcauro is a beautiful mountain village nestled near the shore of Lake Patzcauro.  Hi, Ron - My daughter was serendipitously offered a pretty plum job here in
Santa Barbara that she couldn't say no to, so she will not be moving to Ajijic at
least for now.  I sat down and watched the dvd anyway and now am regretful that she won't be moving there.  Our family has spent time in Mexico, usually in the smaller towns north of Vallarta and never considered venturing inland - we're beach people.  However, watching this dvd has caused me to reconsider my beach attachment.  I loved your DVD and have put the Chapala area on the retirement list of possibilities...This captured all of the things I love about Mexico, the people, the colors, the flora and the skies. The downside could only be that the expat population will outgrow the shores of the lake and you'll loose that small town Mexican flavor - she said adding her name to the list of people who want to flock there!
